ES2 |

The ES2 energy sensor is designed for solar energy studies in unobstructed daylight. The ES2 has high stability and low temperature coefficient silicon photodiodes, has a self cleaning dome and a good cosine response with an infinity-error correction ring. There is an internal calibration adjuster for annual calibration. The sensor can be purchased with optional leveling mounts. It is usually mounted in the horizontal for most solar insolation studies, and the readings then represent the irradiance of a horizontal surface. Output is in mV which is converted linearly to kW/m2

This sensor is only available through the purchase of the GP1 weather station, and is a great sensor for low cost light studies. It measures total shortwave solar radiation. The sensor has high stability and low temperature coefficient silicon photo diodes, a good cosine response and a self cleaning domed head. It is potted solid for humid environments.
